"Despite only having met us briefly before the service, he used everything he discovered about us to personalise the service and make our ceremony perfect — it was beautiful, romantic and perfectly us. Exactly what we wanted."
"All ceremonies need a Rabbi Blane! Our wedding was interfaith — he co-officiated with a priest and it was absolutely perfect. A LOT of people said it was the best ceremony they have ever been to. He made both religions come together as one."
"He made us both feel very comfortable instantly and joined in our celebrations with a warmth that made it feel like it was more like having a friend at our wedding than a stranger officiating. We would recommend him to everyone."
"He talked to us about our lives so he could incorporate it into the ceremony. I felt as if he had known us for a long time while he performed our wedding. It was a wonderful day, one we'll never forget."
"He put us at ease and we instantly had a brilliant rapport. His choice of words were magical, honest and uplifting. We would recommend Rabbi Steve to officiate your wedding whatever faith you are — you will have a very special day."
"He spoke beautiful words about our relationship that, if you didn't know any better, you'd think he was a personal friend. He had everyone in tears. He'll find a way to make it personal, special and unique to you as a couple."
"We decided to elope fairly last minute. Steve was able to read our personalities and tailor a message specific to us, which made our day so memorable. He was easy to work with, prompt and professional."
"We organised our whole wedding from the UK. When I arrived an hour late, Steve was absolutely fine and didn't even mention it. He did wonderfully — over 5 years on we still talk about the lovely Steve Blane."
"Steve was there waiting for us. He talked to all our guests before I arrived. He stayed for photos and chatted with us all before departing. I could not imagine anyone more sincere and authentic to marry us."
"Steve truly made our wedding one of the most memorable days of our guests' lives. He was earnest, caring, loving, funny and professional all rolled into one. A jittery bride was made very calm. I just love that we see his bike in our wedding photos."
"Steve is a bit of a legend in our house. He made the impossible possible. With a really tight window, a friend directed me to Steve on Friday, we were married on Monday afternoon on Bow Bridge. We had the wedding many would only dream of."
"We organised from Australia and although we only met Steve on the day, he made it feel like he had known us both forever. Our vows were perfect, as if written for us. We loved the way you left on your scooter."

I have stood under more than a thousand chuppahs, oak trees, and Bow Bridge arches. Most of those couples didn't choose me because of credentials. They chose me because someone they trusted said: he treated us like we mattered.
That is the whole business. Not the certificate. Not the license. Not the website. The way you make a couple feel in the ninety seconds before they say I do — and the way you make their photographer, their planner, their florist feel in the hours before. Kindness is not soft. It is the actual product.
Every couple deserves an officiant who has thought seriously about what it means to show up for them. That is what this training is for.
I founded JSLI in 2010 because I believed clergy training should be accessible to anyone called to do this work — and we have ordained more than 250 rabbis and cantors around the world since. I built Sim Shalom as the first fully online synagogue because community shouldn't depend on geography. Officiants.org is the next step. A two-track training — for officiants and for wedding vendors — that takes the one thing that actually matters and teaches it on purpose.
If you take the training, you join a directory of professionals who have made the same commitment. Couples who find you here know what that ✦ next to your name means. They know you didn't just pass — you decided to show up differently.
Once you complete Kindness Training, you earn your Trained in Kindness ✦ badge and the option to appear in this directory.
Your listing is free for 6 months, then $199/year. Every couple who finds you here knows you have been trained — not just certified.
All listings are reviewed before going live · 6 months free after badge · $199/year thereafter
